In laclassification classic fish are aquatic vertebrates desanimaux Asang cold, filled denageoires and whose body is usually covered with scales. They are found abundantly both in soft eneau lesmers: include species from the mountain springs (brook trout, pin) to the deepest oceans (Grandgousier Anoplogaster cornuta). However, their distribution is very uneven: 50% of fish live in 17% of the ocean surface [1] (which are often the most overexploited). The marine environment is less accessible to humans, many species remain to be discovered.

They are vitally important to humans;

  • quenourriture as anywhere in the world they soientpêchés in the wild or bred enpisciculture.
  • They are also used for recreational purposes, with Lapêche and aquaria, and are sometimes exposed in public grandsaquariums.
  • They play and have played a significant role in many cultures, as deities and religious symbols, or subjects of stories, legends, books and films.
  • as playing an important rôleécosystémique
  • as contributing aucycles biogeochemical, which lecycle carbon and in particular by contributing aupuits oceanic carbon [1] (see below).

In laclassification phylogenetic group of fish is considered commeparaphylétique and no longer exists in modern biology. In this classification, the fish are scattered taxa desChondrichtyens, desActinoptérygiens, desDipneustes, desActinistiens, and desMyxinoïdes desPétromyzontides.
