21% Of Adults Choose Pet Against Your Partner On Valentine's Day

Instead of spending Valentine's Day with your partner, one in five adults would rather spend with your pet, although the French are still the most romantic, according to a global survey.

The survey, carried 24,000 people in 23 countries found that 21% of adults would rather spend February 14 with your pet, even though the French were least likely to choose a furry friend instead of a human , with only 10 percent choosing the option.

However, the survey found that age and income were a determining factor than nationality when it came to romance. Younger people and those with lower incomes were more likely to choose their pet as their Valentine's company.

25% of people under 35 opted for their pet instead of their partner, compared to 18% of people between 35 and 54 years old, and 14% of respondents over 55 years.
Those who chose pets over people were also more likely to have less income, with 24%, while people with low income chose their pets by 20% of cases.
By country, the residents of Turkey were more likely to choose their pet over their spouse or partner, with 49 percent.
